A fairly easy, but quite high reaching trek to the sacred lakes of Panch Pokhari. The route follows a ridge trail most of the way, giving a fairly steady rise in altitude over a relatively short period. The ridge behind our highest campsite at Panch Pokhari offers some remarkable view of Dorje Lakpa (2320ft) which remains unconquered until now and seen from this vantage point, it is easy to understand why. We start with 4 hrs scenic drive with magnificent views and we reach Maidan (8000ft) with its waterfall. A steep climb through rhododendron forest to Choche (10,500 ft) is next with an acclimatization day. We climb to Nosem Parti (12,000 ft) and then to the lakes of Panch Pokhari (14,500 ft). After climbing the ridge behind the lakes we can enjoy some truly outstanding views. From the lakes we descend to Nosem Parti and Forest Camp.
