Royal Chitwan National Park
You may like to extend your stay by visiting Chitwan National Park (932-sq km.), a world famous reserve of subtropical forest and river margin, which is a superb bird habitat, with over 300 species recorded. Perhaps more importantly, it is one of the few remaining haunts of the endangered Asian one-horned rhino. Other notable species include tiger, leopard, gharial, sloth bear and Indian bison. Our base is comfortable Island Jungle Resort or, Chitwan Jungle Lodge and or, Gaida Wildlife Camp on the banks of the Narayani & Rapti River and adjacent to one of the more secluded areas of the park. From here excursions can be made on elephant back, by foot or by canoe along the river, all of which will provide a fascinating insight into the unique habitat.

What to carry:
1. Camera and binocular to enjoy maximum the wildlife as well as abundant Birds life.
2. Light colored & casual comfortable clothes that will blend with the nature. Light jackets and sweater during the winter months (November- February & March). Good shoes and a swimsuit for easy movement and swimming in the river.
3. Flashlight, sun-hat, sun glasses, Insect repellent and personal medicine.
